These terms outline how you can use the Home Intelligence Platform (HIP), how we engage with licensed professionals, and the responsibilities on both sides of the relationship.

1. Acceptance & Use of HIP

These terms form your agreement with Home Intelligence Platform. By accessing HIP you acknowledge the responsibilities and restrictions below.

When you accept these terms, you agree to

  • Use HIP only for lawful purposes tied to buying, selling, or managing real estate.
  • Provide accurate information when creating your account, running calculators, or requesting referrals.
  • Safeguard your account credentials and notify us of unauthorized access immediately.
  • Respect HIP intellectual property—no scraping, reverse engineering, or redistributing content without permission.
  • Only submit leads or referrals for individuals you’re authorized to represent or assist.

Your HIP account may not be used to

  • Violate any local, state, or federal laws, including Fair Housing and lending regulations.
  • Submit fraudulent information or impersonate another individual or entity.
  • Attempt to access other users’ data or HIP systems without authorization.
  • Disrupt service availability, introduce malware, or engage in security testing without approval.

2. Educational Purpose & Disclaimers

HIP calculators provide clarity, not commitments. They’re designed for planning and to support conversations with licensed professionals.

Key things to understand

  • HIP calculators deliver estimates based on self-reported inputs and market assumptions; they do not guarantee outcomes.
  • HIP is not a lender, does not issue credit decisions, and does not provide legal or financial advice.
  • Real-world loan terms, interest rates, eligibility, and closing costs depend on underwriting by licensed lenders.
  • Always review official Loan Estimates, Closing Disclosures, and consult licensed professionals before committing.

3. Data Collection & Privacy

We only collect what we need to power HIP, personalize your experience, and connect you with the right pros.

By using HIP you acknowledge

  • We collect personal, financial, and property information to provide calculators and recommendations.
  • We collect technical data (cookies, usage analytics) to secure HIP and improve functionality.
  • We follow the practices outlined in our Privacy Policy, including retention schedules and CCPA rights.
  • You can manage data rights—download, delete, or opt out—via account settings or privacy@hip.example.com.

4. Referrals, Partners & Communications

We help you connect with licensed real estate and mortgage professionals who can act on your plan.

By submitting a lead or consultation request

  • You authorize HIP to share relevant details with affiliated brokerages, lenders, or service partners.
  • You consent to receiving phone calls, emails, and text messages related to your request (with opt-out options).
  • You understand partner engagement may result in referral fees paid to HIP or affiliated entities.
  • You can withdraw consent or opt out of communications at any time.

Partner responsibilities

  • Partners must be appropriately licensed and operate within applicable real estate and lending laws.
  • Partners may not use HIP data for any purpose beyond meeting your specific request.
  • Partners honor consumer protection rules, including Fair Housing, Equal Credit Opportunity, and TCPA.

5. Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability & Termination

We stand behind the experience we build, but HIP is provided “as-is” with specific limitations.

Disclaimers

  • HIP provides educational tools and journey guidance “as-is” without warranties of accuracy or fitness for a specific purpose.
  • HIP does not guarantee loan approval, interest rates, or property outcomes.
  • Third-party content (MLS listings, partner offers) is provided by partners and may change without notice.

Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent allowed by law, HIP is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • HIP’s total liability is limited to amounts paid (if any) for HIP services in the 12 months preceding the event.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose security/compliance risks.

6. Updates, Governing Law & Contact

HIP is built in California for nationwide scalability. We’ll keep you in the loop as we evolve.

Updates & governing law

  • We may update these terms to reflect new features, partners, or regulations.
  • Material updates will be disclosed via email and in-app notifications with an effective date.
  • Your continued use after updates indicates acceptance.
  • These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
